Region of Occurrence:
In Brazil there are plantations in the states of Bahia, Espiríto Santo, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Paraná e Rio Grande do Sul. Naturally occurs in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa, Kenya, Congo, Zaire and New Zealand.
General Characteristics:
Eucalyptus grandis wood is light reddish brown in colour, with a fine texture and straight grain, with an indistinct taste and smell.
Natural Durability:
Wood usage: low resistance and limited duration.
Suggested Uses:
Wood used in external heavy civil construction and internal light construction, also used in the manufacturing of general-purpose furniture, laminated and plywood, packaging and pallets.
